I look forward to collaborating with you on your journey to lasting health. I was born and raised in Orleans and I am excited to be able to build a practice in my home community. I grew up playing competitive soccer and hockey, which led to a special interest in sport injury prevention and rehabilitation as well as concussion management. I received an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Ottawa before attending the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. While attending CMCC I became certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture as well as Neurofunctional Biomechanics. I became a chiropractor to help injured patients with manual medicines. A typical appointment with me lasts 15-30 minutes and can consist of acupuncture, soft tissue release, joint manipulations and lots of advice/education. I have always been fascinated by how the body is able to move, function and heal itself. My chiropractic education allows me to help the people in my community achieve their health goals. I aim to empower my patients by treating the cause of their symptoms and dysfunctions as well as providing self-help education to prevent future occurrences. Ben Matheson is a Chiropractor with over 10 years experience in the field. In that time, he has learned that treatments are best when tailored to the individual experiencing the pain or injury. Ben uses a combination of adjustments, soft tissue therapy, Graston technique and exercise improve outcomes from injuries. Ben also has a passion for educating his patients about their injuries and giving them the tools to make good decisions during recovery that allow everyone to get back to normal life as soon as possible. Detailed description of chiropractic and custom orthotics fees Current fees as of November 1st, 2023 New Patient Assessment - $110 (up to 60 min) Extended Chiropractic Treatment - $75 (typically 20-30 min) Standard Chiropractic Treatment - $55 (typically 10-15 min) Standalone Acupuncture Treatment - $75 (typically 15-30 min) Custom Foot Orthotics - $525 (Premium upgrades available for additional fee) Please note that complex cases or appointments relating to 3rd party insurance programs (WSIB, Motor Vehicle Accidents, etc) may be billed differently. Billing and Payment Policy To better serve our patients, we are using the Stripe Online Payment system. After your appointment our staff will direct bill your insurance if you've provided us with your direct billing information. If we have not direct billed your appointment, or if there's a co-pay amount owing, you will receive an email with your remaining balance. The email will contain a link to make an online payment, as well as other payment options that you can use. Invoices should be received by email within 24 hours of your appointment. We also accept cash, debit, and credit at the clinic, for people preferring to pay in person. Missed Appointments and Late Cancellations Missed, cancelled, and rescheduled appointments must be done with 24 hours notice to ensure there will be no missed appointment fee. Missed appointment fees are $25 for a first occurrence, and the full appointment fee for two or more occurrences.
